‘Lands, Real and Imagined’ exhibition opened recently at Arthshila Goa, with a walkthrough led by Lina Vincent of LVAC (Lina Vincent Arts Consultant)and artist Kavita Shah. The session offered visitors insights into the curatorial vision and artistic responses of the five displaying artists and how their work was shaped by the writings of Maria Graham — a 19th-century travel writer, historian, and illustrator — whose vivid observations from her journeys to India, Spain, Italy, Chile and Brazil form the foundation for this contemporary artistic response.
As part of the show, Arthshila Goa, hosted a five-day women printmakers’ workshop titled ‘Goa Diary’, led by senior printmaker Kavita Shah.
The exhibition will be on display until September 2025.
