Dalgado Konknni Akademi organised a workshop on creative writing on the occasion of the distribution of certificates to participants of the Romi Script Konknni Orthography course.
The resource person was Anwesha Singbal, a Konkani writer, moderator and journalist. Drawing on her experience as a writer, she guided the participants on how creative writing can help preserve, promote and protect the Konkani language.
The welcome address was delivered by the president of the Akademi, Fr. Myron Jeson Barreto. In his address, he emphasised the importance of studying Roman-script Konkani orthography and highlighted the efforts needed to promote and preserve the language for
future generations.
Following the workshop, participation certificates were distributed to all those who had completed the course.
On the same occasion, certificates were also presented to participants of the Dr. (Fr.) Antonio Nicolau Pereira Quiz Competition, organised to mark his birth centenary. Anthony Menezes, Armando L. Fernandes, Camilo Luis, Monica Fernandes, Vincy Perry, Sandhya A. Fernandes, Annie de Colvale and Ruzai Fernandes answered all the
questions correctly.
