It’s been a memorable week for Coldplay fans in India as the much-acclaimed band known for hit tunes like ‘Hymn for the Weekend’, ‘Fix you’, and ‘Yellow’ has been delivering pure magic with their shows in India as part of the Music of the Spheres tour. Having performed three shows at the
DIY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, the band is now all set to perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad today i.e. January 25 and 26.

Among those who managed to secure their tickets, were many Goans too. While many have enjoyed the Mumbai show, others have made the trip to Ahmedabad for the upcoming shows. In fact, some Goans have even journeyed to Abu Dhabi earlier this month where the band performed
four shows.

My wife’s mom got lucky and managed to book two tickets for the Mumbai show. In fact, on the morning of the show, my wife and I ran a marathon that morning. But even after running for five plus hours straight, we still had the energy to stand and sing our lungs out at the concert. Listening to Coldplay was amazing. They don’t just perform; they draw you into their world, creating a connection so raw
and personal.”

Elton Conceicao, Aldona

Getting tickets to Coldplay was no easy feat. After countless hours in online queues, we were left empty-handed. However, my sister managed to secure tickets from a reseller for the Mumbai show on the 21st. The concert made every effort worthwhile. It was pure magic. From the electrifying energy to the captivating visuals and Chris Martin’s unparalleled stage presence, it was an experience of a lifetime. I’ve attended many concerts, but this one was truly unforgettable.”

Jigyasaa Malhotra, Porvorim

We bought tickets off someone from Reddit and then had someone from Mumbai pick them up and send them to Goa. However, our tickets went to the wrong city. We ended up getting the tickets less than 24 hours before we left. The actual concert was amazing. The opening acts were decent though people criticised Jasleen’s performance a lot. My mum, who I took with me, had a great time too. This is certainly one of the best if not the best concert I’ve been to. It was a masterclass in showmanship.”

Kristoff de Braganca, Mapusa

I got the tickets through the initial sale on the BookMyShow app.The day of the show was hectic. We reached the venue at lunch time and had to sit in the heat close to the stage till 5 until the acts began. We were already tired but when Coldplay started at 7.45 p.m. we were supercharged. The whole experience  was out of this world. It was worth all the struggle.”

Dale Dias, St Cruz

My friends and I  made giant Coldplay posters that spelled out ‘COLDPLAY’! It was a fun way to show our love for the band. The walk to the venue was a long one, but once inside, it was another world altogether. The stage, the lights, the sheer scale of it all, was breathtaking. What really stood out was how much Chris interacted made us feel like we were part of the show.”

Kartik Khandeparkar, Khandepar

The show felt surreal—like stepping into a dream. Singing along to their iconic tunes and feeling the energy of the crowd was nothing short of magical. Experiencing their live performance firsthand, after years of following them online, was a moment of pure joy. It was everything we had hoped for and more. It wasn’t just a concert; it was about making memories, celebrating music, and sharing an incredible experience with friends!”

Sydney Raj, Porvorim

The Coldplay show was more than just a concert – it was a celebration of friendship, music, and the joy of being alive. As me and my friends sang along to every song, danced under the dazzling lights, and waved our arms in unison, I felt our bond grow stronger.”

Priyanshi Dsouza, Calangute

The fireworks at the concert were insane, and the special moonglasses made them look like a million exploding stars. ! The moment that really got me was when they played ‘Yellow’. The entire stadium was lit up in yellow lights because of those glowing wristbands. I actually had tears in my eyes! There were many other incredible moments like the security guard who went viral on Instagram who joined them on stage for ‘Something just like this’. Also, Chris Martin wearing an alien costume head was so quirky and fun! The thing that touched me the most, though, was seeing Chris Martin use sign language during ‘Something just like this’. They also had a special area designated for people with special needs with interpreters singing along. Apart from this, they took a few sustainable measures like using recyclable cups which one could take home as a souvenir.”

Sachi Morajkar,
Saipem, Candolim

Attending the Coldplay concert with friends was an unforgettable experience. The crowd’s energy was electric. It felt like the whole world was singing together. We sang, danced, and laughed, creating memories under the magical lights that will last a lifetime. It was a night that truly felt like a dream come true.”
