The State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Goa, in coordination with lead district managers (LDMs) and all banks, will hold camps on November 12, to facilitate the settlement of unclaimed financial assets and deposits.

The South Goa camp will be held at BPS Sports Club, Margao, at 11 am, while the North Goa camp will take place at Taj Vivanta, St Inez, Panaji, at 3 pm.

The initiative is part of a three-month national campaign launched by the Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, from October to December 2025, under the theme Your Money, Your Right.

The aim is to help citizens claim unclaimed financial assets, including bank deposits, insurance policy claims, mutual fund proceeds, dividends, and shares, which often remain unclaimed due to lack of awareness or outdated account details.

Deposits in accounts not operated for a period of ten years are classified as unclaimed deposits. During the campaign period, residents are advised to visit their bank branches with KYC documents such as Aadhaar card, photograph, and PAN card to activate their accounts.

The SLBC said the initiative would ensure faster settlement of unclaimed deposits and promote financial inclusion by reconnecting individuals with their dormant assets.
