Sunaparanta-Goa Centre for the Arts, Altinho, hosted a performance by the Austrian Motus Quartet featuring Dr. Marialena Fernandes
on piano.
Winners of the prestigious 10th International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition, the Motus Quartet — Tim de Vries (1st violin), Karla Kriz (2nd violin), Erin Pitts (viola), and Domonkos Hartmann (cello) — along with Fernandes, delivered a programme of chamber music by Joseph Haydn, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Antonín Dvorák. The concert also celebrated a decade of Quest for Passion, a cross-cultural music initiative led by Fernandes, who continues her commitment to nurturing young talent and bridging artistic communities between Europe and India.
The event was supported by V M Salgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Austrian Cultural Forum, Austrian Embassy in New Delhi, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and Furtados.
The following morning, an interactive workshop with the quartet drew a small group of enthusiastic and creative
professionals.
