Mashem: Arlem CC advanced to the final of the 43rd Nanda Lolayekar Trophy, sponsored by Commonwealth Developers and organized by Mashem Cricket Club, with a 6-wicket win over Dempo CC at Mashem.
Chasing a daunting 218 for victory in the high-scoring second semi-final, Arlem’s Atharva Kale led the charge with an impressive, unbeaten 80 runs off 54 balls. His innings included 9 boundaries and 3 sixes, anchoring Arlem’s pursuit with two key partnerships, including a crucial 79-run stand for the 4th wicket with Shubham Dessai (39).
Earlier, Dempo set a formidable target, posting 217/8 in their allotted 35 overs. A solid opening stand of 56 runs between Azaan Thota (48) and Abhinav Tej Rana (29) set the tone, but regular wickets slowed their progress. Soham Panvalkar chipped in with 25 runs, while Shubham Dessai (3/25) and Parth Sahani (2/41) were the standout bowlers for Arlem.
