Dempo HSS felicitates board toppers, achievers

Panaji: DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science & Commerce, Cujira, felicitated the school’s toppers at the Goa Board Examination 2025.

11 students who scored 100 out of 100 in Political Science, History and Accountancy were also felicitated along with the first three rankers of Arts, Science and Commerce streams, at the hands of Pallavi Dempo, Trustee of Dempo Charities Trust.

Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, she lauded the achievements of the students and urged them to equip themselves with multiple skills to face challenging times.

Principal Minaxi Mudaliar, in her welcome address, stressed that acknowledging such achievements is important as NEP 2020 expects all-round development of students.

Earlier, the annual Magazine `Vasant 2025’ was released by Dempo in the presence of Administrator Rajesh Bhatikar, Mudaliar and other dignitaries.

The school football team which excelled at the state-level under-19 category for three consecutive years and Reliance Cup Football for two consecutive years, were felicitated. Students Swapnil Patil, Shiva Upadhyay, Pauravi Desai and Jodric Abranches were also felicitated for their outstanding achievements.

Dhiraj Vengurlekar, Teacher Grade I, was also felicitated for a record of achieving 100 out of 100 marks in Political Science, for eight students at the Goa Board Examination.

Vice Principal Maya Sardesai proposed the vote of thanks, while teachers Vanaja Mudaliar, Shubhada Bandodkar, Toshita Raikar compered the function.
