Dempo SC fall short

Panaji: Dempo SC suffered a 1-2  defeat against FC Mangalore in the AIFF U-17 Elite Youth League on Monday at Mangalore.

Mangalore’s Nabeel opened the scoring in the 70th minute while Dempo equalized through Vivaan  a minute later. However,

Mangalore regained the lead through Wangkhem. At fulltime the score was 2-1 in favor of Mangalore.

Meanwhile, Sesa FA cruised to a 4-1 win over Churchill Brothers at Sirsaim Ground. Sesa’s Anmesh netted a brace, while Granville and Leo added to the tally with one goal each. Churchill Brothers pulled a goal back through Nigel.

In another fixture, Belgaum United FA played out a 2-2 draw with FC Goa at the Sporting Planet Sports Complex in

Belgaum. Belgaum took the lead with goals from Gourang and Bikash, while FC Goa responded with strikes from Sangam and Sam.
