Ella: Dempo SC breezed past Goa Police 4-0 in the Goa Professional League at Ella ground on Saturday.
Dimngel, Sairon Albuquerque, Shreyash Naik and Salgeo Dias scored one each for the winners.
Dempo SC seized the lead in the 12th minute after Salgeo Dias delivered a pinpoint cross from the left. Goa Police’s goalkeeper rushed off his line in an attempt to clear, but Mevan Dias smartly flicked it across to an unmarked Dimngel at the far post, who made no mistake slotting it into an empty net from close range.
Dempo SC wasted no time in doubling their advantage, with Sairon Albuquerque finding the net. The Golden Eagles earned a free kick after Salgeo Dias was brought down on the edge of the box by a Police defender.
Shreyash Naik played a short pass to Sairon, who unleashed a low drive into the bottom left corner.
Dempo SC kept their attack going in the second half as Beckham Dias threaded a precise through ball to Shreyash Naik, slicing through the Police defense. Shreyash controlled it brilliantly, spotted the advancing goalkeeper, and coolly slotted a low strike into the back of the net.
In the final moments, Dempo put the icing on the cake as Velanco Rodrigues delivered a cross from the right, finding Salgeo Dias, who slotted home with a first-time finish to wrap up a thorough 4-0
victory.
