Arnold, Velanco, Shreyash net one each for the winners

Mapusa: Dempo SC delivered a commanding performance to defeat Sesa FA 3-0 in the Reliance Foundation Development League Zonal Stage clash at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Friday.

The Golden Eagles got off to a flying start, with Arnold Oliveira converting a precise cross from Peter on the left flank just four minutes into the game. Buoyed by the early breakthrough, Dempo maintained their attacking momentum and doubled the lead in the 33rd minute. Arnold turned provider, threading a perfect through ball to Velanco Rodrigues, who displayed composure to take a deft touch and slot the ball past the goalkeeper, securing a two-goal cushion by halftime.

The second half saw Dempo continue their dominance with a lacklustre Sesa FA providing feeble resistance.

Soon enough, Dempo  SC added a third in the 65th minute. Asmon Viegas whipped in a low cross from the right flank, and Shreyas Naik was on hand to tap it into the net, sealing the victory.

Despite Sesa FA’s efforts to push for a breakthrough, Dempo’s defense stood resolute, ensuring a clean sheet. At full-time the score was 3-0.
