Digital payment for traffic challans

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic (Headquarters), has announced that from March 1, 2025, cash payments for traffic challans under the Motor Vehicles Act will be discontinued. Payments will be accepted only via digital modes, including debit/credit cards, QR codes generated on e-challan machines, and the online portal echallan.parivahan.gov.in. Violators will also receive the payment link via SMS.
