DMC, GC Khandola to clash in final today

Taleigao: Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao secured a commanding 42-run victory over SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, while Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola defeated Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, by a decisive 19 runs, on Day 20 of the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men’s Championship.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, Sridora Caculo found themselves struggling against DMC College’s determined batting lineup. DMC College posted a competitive 132 all out in 15.5 overs, with Namdev Raul top scoring with 30 runs off 29 balls and Aman Dhooper contributing a crucial 26 runs off 20 balls.

In response, Sridora Caculo managed only 90 runs for 9 wickets in 16 overs. Dhruv Lotlecar fought hard with a valiant 42 runs off 25 balls, but the target proved too challenging. Vardhan Prabhu Misquin emerged as the bowling hero for DMC College, taking 2 wickets for just 5 runs.

In the next match, after the College of Engineering chose to field first, Govt. College Khandola scored 114 all out in 17.2 overs. Sourav Sharma (23 runs off 20 balls) and Snehith Panickar (19 runs off 12 balls) were the top contributors. Goa College of Engineering’s Tushar Ghatwal and Narayan Sawant picked up 3 wickets each.

The Engineering College’s chase fell short, getting bowled out for 95 runs in 19 overs. Shreyash Usgaonkar top-scored with 22 runs off 30 balls. Snehith Panickar was the standout performer, claiming an impressive 4 wickets for 20 runs.
