The Feast Mass of the college patron saint, St. Francis Xavier, was celebrated recently and was presided over by Fr. Richard D’Souza SJ, Director of the Vatican Observatory, Rome.
In his address, he spoke on hope, faith and collective responsibility, urging students to look beyond examinations and highlighting the role of education in building communication skills, critical thinking
and curiosity.
The programme that followed included the felicitation of meritorious students from the Self-Financed Departments (2024–25 batch) and faculty member Jaqueline Monteiro on her retirement.
The celebrations concluded with the annual ‘Socials’, organised by the College Students Council with ‘The Red Carpet’ as the theme. Yash Pawar (T.Y.B.Com) and Aloma Saldanha (T.Y.B.Sc) were crowned Mr. Xavier 2025 and Ms. Xavier 2025 by officiating principal Ursula Barreto and administrator
Fr. Tony Salema.
