As the world navigates rising energy demand, geopolitical uncertainty and accelerating climate commitments, the critical choices shaping the future of global energy around energy security, affordability, access and sustainability will be at the forefront of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, which is returning to Goa for its fourth edition from January 27-30.
The IEW-2026 will be held at ONGC, Advanced Technology Institution in Betul and it will be inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi.
Building on the strong momentum of previous editions, IEW-2026 is expected to welcome over 75,000 energy professionals from over 120 countries, said Gurmeet Singh, Director General of the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industries (FIPI). He was addressing a press conference in Panaji on Thursday.
Singh said that the exhibition at the four-day event will feature nine international country pavilions, highlighting IEW’s growing role as a catalyst for cross-border collaboration, policy dialogue and investment. “The pavilions will also have elements of Goan art and culture apart from stalls from local vendors and artisans,” he said. The exhibition will host more than 700
companies.
The event will bring together ministers from across the world, industry leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, academia and technology providers to fine-tune the balancing act between economic growth and climate goals, Singh said.
As the first major international energy gathering of the year, IEW-2026 will focus on strengthening energy security, mobilising investment and advancing practical, scalable pathways for de-carbonisation that can be adapted across economies at different stages of growth, Singh said. He said that delegations from the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific will underline the IEW’s growing role in global energy diplomacy.
The IEW-2026 will feature ministerial roundtables, CEO dialogues on global capital flows, public-private sector dialogues, technology showcases from multinationals, national energy companies and high-growth startups, social events and media engagement.
The event will showcase technologies shaping the future of energy, including upstream exploration, LNG, bio-fuels, green hydrogen, renewable, carbon capture, digitalisation, artificial intelligence-driven optimisation and next-generation energy systems under various thematic zones.
Dedicated sessions on hydrogen economies, green finance, sustainable fuels, circularity, digital transformation and workforce development will explore scalable routes to achieving global net-zero goals.
Media advisor of IEW-2026 Rajeev Jain said the confirmed speakers at the four-day event include Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and managing director and group CEO of ADNOC Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Canada’s Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson and senior ministers from Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Global South.
The 2025 edition of the event had attracted over 68,000 participants, 570 exhibitors and 5,400 conference delegates. It had hosted 100 conference sessions featuring over 540 global speakers.
