Benaulim: Fr Agnel  YSC Paroda booked their place in the semi-finals of the 34th Super Soccer Tournament with a 2-0 win over Parish Youth Nuvem at the Benaulim panchayat ground on Tuesday.

Paroda started strongly, forcing a fourth-minute diving save from Nuvem’s goalkeeper after Denzil’s strike. The breakthrough came in the 10th minute when Velroy Carvalho headed home a loose ball. Nuvem, struggling to settle, found little space as Paroda’s midfield pair, Joy and Godwin Fernandes, controlled proceedings. Star striker Joerose’s introduction failed to inspire Nuvem, with Livan Clemente and Ashwan Fernandes marshalling the Paroda defence superbly. Prince Costa sealed the result in the 48th minute, capping a performance that also earned him the Man of the Match award, the award was presented by Mathew Costa. On Monday, Guardian Angel had also advanced to the semi-finals.
