With Russia being one of Goa’s most significant source markets contributing substantially to international tourist arrivals, the Tourism department is planning to organise roadshows in three cities – Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

“The Department has proposed to organise international roadshows in Russia which will be complemented by a focused digital marketing campaign to amplify reach and engagement. Goa receives a significant number of Russian tourists. Goa can further strengthen this relationship by creating a strong offline and online presence for Brand Goa in Russia,” said a government official.

The official said that the roadshow will serve as an interactive business to business (B2B) engagement platform, bringing together Russian tour operators, travel agents, destination management companies, MICE organisers and media representatives to experience Goa’s tourism offerings.

“It will feature destination presentations, B2B meetings, cultural showcases, and promotional material displays. Parallelly, the digital campaign will leverage targetted social media advertising, influencer collaborations, and localised content creation in Russian to drive consumer awareness and inspire travel to Goa,” the official said.

The Department has floated a tender for the selection of agencies for planning, executing and management of Goa Tourism roadshows and digital marketing activity in Russia.
