Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured Griha Aadhar Scheme beneficiaries that henceforth the
assistance amount would
be credited on the 10th of every month.
Sawant said Goa is among the leading states in the country in the implementation of citizen-driven welfare schemes, stating that
nearly 40 per cent of the stateās population is directly benefiting from the Griha Aadhar Scheme.
The Chief Minister was addressing a Griha Aadhaar camp organised by the Women and Child Welfare Department at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir in Ponda. He said the government has been prioritising Ponda for major initiatives such as Sarkar Tumchya Daari, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, RDA schemes and Griha Aadhaar camps. He said the issues would be streamlined at the camp itself and that the government is working to resolve pending cases to ensure eligible women receive support without delay. He also urged citizens to participate in the āClean Goa, Green Goaā campaign.
When asked about MLA Viresh Borkarās protest against Section 39A of the TCP Act, the Chief Minister declined to comment.
