An injured patient, Luis Fernandes, who was rushed to the North District Hospital, created a commotion in the
casualty department on Thursday evening, shouting and turning aggressive, prompting hospital authorities to lodge a complaint with Mapusa police, who arrested
the accused.
The incident has raised concerns over the safety of doctors, hospital staff and patients,
particularly during night shifts. Sources said that the patient had met with an
accident at Sangolda.
