Margao/Vasco/Ponda: BJP leaders and workers across Goa celebrated the party’s victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry on Monday, expressing confidence that the momentum will carry into the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.

In Margao, PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, along with Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar and BJP workers, celebrated the victories by bursting firecrackers and raising slogans near the Margao Municipal Council entrance road.

“This win in Bengal is truly historic, realizing a long-cherished dream of the BJP’s founders. All national leaders of the party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, campaigned extensively, holding numerous rallies across West Bengal. Party leaders and dedicated workers toiled tirelessly to secure these victories in West Bengal and other states,” Kamat said.

“In Goa too, the BJP is poised to secure a resounding victory in the forthcoming assembly election, aiming for 30 seats,” he stated.

In Vasco, MLA Krishna Salkar said the results reflected the trust reposed by voters in the BJP leadership. “Today is a day of great joy for countless BJP workers. The hard work put in by BJP workers in West Bengal for the party’s benefit, along with the complete trust shown by the people of West Bengal in Modi and other senior BJP leaders, has resulted in a historic and grand victory for the BJP there,” he said.

A procession was organised in Vasco by the BJPSalkar, Mormugao Municipal Council Chairperson Girish Borkar, BJP Mandal President Siddharth Kaskar, Damodar Lotlikar and party workers participated.

Salkar said that with development under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, the BJP expects strong support in Goa and a decisive victory in 2027.

In Vasco, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar said the BJP had “created history” by electing 194 MLAs in West Bengal for the first time. He said that the victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry reflect public faith in Modi and said he was confident that more than 27 BJP candidates will be elected in Goa in 2027. A victory bike rally was also organised in the Sada area, with hundreds of BJP workers participating.

In Ponda, there was a ‘Vijayotsav’ rally marked by a bike procession through key parts of the city. Local leaders Vishwanath Dalvi and Ritesh Naik led the celebrations. “This victory reflects the trust and confidence people across the nation have in Modi’s leadership. It is a result of dedicated governance and the tireless efforts of party workers at every level. Today’s celebration is not just about winning elections, but about reaffirming our commitment to serve the people with honesty and determination,” Naik said.
