Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday relaunched the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal—an integrated online platform bringing all state and central government scholarship schemes under one roof.

The portal, developed by the Department of Social Welfare, allows students to apply for pre-matric, post-matric, and other scholarships in a streamlined, single-window system. Students and institutions can now apply online for schemes under the departments of Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Education, Higher Education, and Finance.

“This portal ensures that no child is held back due to financial constraints. Education is our top priority,” Sawant said at the launch.

“I appeal to all students to register and make use of this facility.”

The CM added that the application process is fully online, with verification by the concerned departments. Once approved, the scholarship amount will be transferred directly to students’ bank accounts within 15 to 30 days.

The portal—cmscholarship.goa.gov.in—caters specifically to students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections.
