A total of 21,818 enumeration forms have been reported as uncollectable across the eight assembly constituencies of Salcete, accounting for slightly over nine per cent, according to the report of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
These forms were categorised as relating to absentees, individuals who have shifted residence, died, or are already enrolled. Among the eight constituencies, Fatorda recorded the highest number of uncollected enumeration forms.
As per the updated December 15 report, Salcete taluka has a total of 2,39,634 enrolled voters. During the SIR exercise, 4,859 deceased voters were identified in Salcete, while 8,187 voters were marked absent by Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The number of voters who have permanently shifted out of Salcete stands at 7,770, rendering them ineligible to vote in the taluka. In addition, 415 voters were found to be already enrolled or double registered, while 587 individuals were placed under ‘others’.
The Vasco Da Gama assembly constituency in South Goa reported the highest number of deceased, untraceable or absent voters, permanently shifted individuals and voters already enrolled. As a result, the constituency recorded the maximum number of uncollectable forms.
The port town constituency has a total of 36,400 voters in 2025.
During the enumeration form distribution exercise, 2,440 voters were reported absent by the BLOs, 862 were recorded as deceased, and 4,053 voters were found to have permanently shifted from their registered addresses.
