Vasco: The Director, Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Kumar Saurabh Raj, IAS, visited Dabolim International Airport to review passenger-facilitation measures amid widespread operational disruptions at Indigo.

As per directives issued by MoCA, Raj arrived at Goa International Airport to assess the on-ground situation and examine the readiness of all agencies handling passengers during the ongoing Indigo crisis.

He visited Dabolim on Tuesday morning before proceeding to Mopa to review passenger issues there. His visit to Goa lasted one day.

Accompanied by senior officials from AAI, BCAS, CISF, and Indigo Airlines, the director evaluated arrangements for smooth passenger flow, grievance redressal, and enhanced co-ordination among stakeholders.

During the inspection, he visited the 24×7 AAI Control Room to review facilities and response mechanisms. He also interacted with passengers at airline ticketing and check-in counters to understand their experience and gather feedback on AAI’s and the airlines’ preparedness in ensuring seamless passenger movement.

He later engaged with media representatives to understand their assessment of the situation and welcomed suggestions to improve coordination and passenger facilitation during crises.

Present during the visit were Lekshmi G S, Officiating Airport Director; Vipin K Srivastav, Chief Security Officer; and Rohan Powar, Deputy Commandant, CISF.
