Vasco: A major water pipeline serving the Vidyanagar area of Zuarinagar was damaged during ongoing highway construction work being carried out at the MES College junction on NH-566 (formerly NH-17B), resulting in the wastage of potable water.

The rupture led to extensive waterlogging, with the affected stretch resembling a swimming pool as treated water flowed across the area. Upset residents demanded a thorough inquiry into the incident and called for action against those responsible. They also urged authorities to put safeguards in place to prevent similar damage to public infrastructure during future construction works.
