Several infrastructure, civic, cultural and sports-related projects were launched and inaugurated across the Poriem constituency.

Among the projects initiated were protection walls in vulnerable areas aimed at preventing soil erosion and safeguarding road infrastructure.

Foundation stones
were laid for multiple works, including a Rs 43.09 lakh protection wall for the internal road near Shankarnath Math at Charwane in Dongurli-Thane panchayat.

Repair and renovation works of the anganwadi centre at Savarshe in Bhirondem panchayat was also undertaken.
In Poriem, the reconstructed culvert at Gosaviwada was inaugurated to improve connectivity and facilitate safer movement
for residents.

A ‘visarjan’ facility project has also been taken up. Foundation work for the beautification and illumination of Shree Brahmani Mahamaya temple has been launched to improve infrastructure and landscaping around the temple premises.

New panchayat buildings were inaugurated at Morlem and Keri under the Deendayal Panchayat Raj Infrastructure Development Scheme by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

A new dhalo maand was inaugurated as part of efforts to preserve Goa’s folk traditions. The renovated panchayat community hall at Saleli in Honda, developed at a cost of nearly Rs 1 crore, was opened for community programmes and public functions.

A cricket and football ground were inaugurated at Narayanagar, Honda. The facility includes FIFA-approved synthetic turf, floodlights, seating arrangements and a walking track.

Morlem sarpanch Amit Shirodkar said the underground cabling project in Morlem had addressed recurring monsoon-related power disruptions. He said the proposed 15 MLD water treatment plant would help tackle water shortages in Morlem, Keri,
Parye, Honda and Pissurlem panchayats.
