On the occasion of the 551st Foundation Day of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math, the Math announced the recipients of its annual Vidhyadhiraj Puraskar, Jeevottam Puraskar and Purushottam Puraskar.

The prestigious Vidhyadhiraj Puraskar will be conferred on Shrinivas V Dempo, chairman of the Dempo Group of Companies and a philanthropist, in recognition of his contribution to the fields of education and business, as well as his cultural, social and spiritual commitments.

The Jeevottam Puraskar will be awarded to Amarnath Kamath of Bengaluru, Shrinivas Bhat of Mumbai and Anil Pai of Goa. The Purushottam Puraskar will be presented to Vedamurthy Shridhar Bhat of Gokarna.

The award presentation ceremony will be held on Friday, March 20, at 4 pm at the Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math, Goa.

The awards will be presented under the guidance of Shreemad Vidhyadhish Teerth Shripad Vader Swami, Mathadhipati of Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partgali Math, to recognise individuals who have made notable contributions in areas such as education, medicine, community service and entrepreneurship. The awards signify encouragement for the recipients to continue their work with renewed commitment.

The Vidhyadhiraj Puraskar is conferred on members of the Goud Saraswat Brahmin community for their service to society and the Math. It forms part of the Math’s initiative to recognise individuals from the community who have contributed to social welfare and is usually presented along with the Jeevottam and Purushottam Puraskars.
