Order excludes Meghnath Parab who was on list

Panaji : Senior Goa Civil Service officers Amarsen Rane, Levinson Martins and Sunil Masurkar have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) cadre.

The promotion was confirmed through an order issued on Friday by the Department of Personnel and Training under the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

The promotions were based on recommendations made by a Goa government committee headed by the Chief Secretary in October 2024. While the names of four officers were proposed for the IAS cadre, the current order excludes Meghnath Parab who was also on the list.

According to the order, Rane and Martins have been promoted against vacancies from January 1 to December 31, 2022, while Masurkar has been promoted against vacancies from January 1 to December 31, 2023.
