The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola, will celebrate its 37th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony on December 19 at the college campus. The chief guest will be associate professor and Program Chair at the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, IIT Goa, Sunil Paul. The programme will be conducted under the leadership of principal professor Purnakala Samant, along with IQAC Director and VP Admin Dilecta D’Costa, vice-principal (Academics) professor Seema Salgaonkar, chairperson of the Students’ Council Nawoo Varak, co-chairperson Siddhi Naik, general secretary Dheeraj Bhati and cultural secretary Grandhar Mhato. The alumni will be represented by president of the Alumni Association Sameer Prabhu. The Annual Day will include the felicitation of meritorious students, cultural performances and special recognitions, showcasing the college’s achievements. In the lead-up to the main event, the Students’ Council is organising the college’s inter-class festival, ‘Jubiliations 2025’, from December 15 to November 19. The week-long event have a variety of competitions, including off-stage events such as flag painting, treasure hunt and face painting; on-stage events including Mr. & Miss Jubilations, group dance and fashion show; sports events like tug of war, chess, BGMI and Tie; and pre-events such as meme-making and reel-making.
