Calangute Association beat Churchill Bros 3-1

Nagoa: Guardian Angel SC eased past Panjim Footballer 3-1 in the Goa Professional League Relegation League at Nagoa ground on Friday.

Panjim Footballers took an early lead in the 6th minute when Veron Pereira’s through ball found Ajay Raj, who set up Kavya Katkar to fire past the near post. Guardian Angel equalized through Suman Lepcha, who capitalized on a rebound from a corner despite a clearance attempt by Panjim’s Prasil. Ronald then put Guardian Angel ahead with a well-timed through ball to Sainik for a simple finish. Airen Fernandes sealed the 3-1 victory in the dying minutes, dribbling past his marker and slotting home.

Meanwhile at Duler, Calangute Association defeated Churchill Brothers 3-1. Calangute’s Jovito Fernandes netted a brace while Chandrakant Shirodkar scored once in their win. Churchill scored through Alent Colaco.
