Mapusa: Anita Dungdung ran riot at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa on Sunday evening, firing four goals as Indian Arrows Women Juniors thrashed Sesa FA 5-0 in a one-sided IWL 2 clash.

With the win India Arrows moved to second positon with six points from two matches while Sesa remained in the fifth place with zero points from the same.

Dungdung opened the scoring in the 20th minute before adding goals in the 44th, 53rd, and 74th to complete a stunning four-goal haul.

Anushka Kumari also got in on the act with a smart finish in the 39th minute as the Arrows took a commanding 3-0 lead into the break.

Their dominance never wavered, with Dungdung continuing to torment the Sesa defence in the second half.

Sesa FA struggled to live with the Arrows’ high intensity and fluid movement. While the Goan outfit did carve out a few chances after the restart, they lacked the clinical edge to trouble the scoreboard. At the other end, Indian Arrows remained sharp and composed, capping off a thoroughly professional performance.

Earlier in the day at the same venue, Garhwal United FC registered a comfortable 3-1 win over Krida Prabodhini, Pune.

With the win, Garhwal moved to top position with six points from two matches.

Fragrancy Riwan set the tone with an early strike in the 11th minute, before Lhingdeikim (41’) and Esther Tingjoukim (72’) extended the lead.

Krida Prabodhini briefly threatened a comeback through Purva Gaikwad’s 50th-minute goal, but Garhwal United quickly regained control to seal all three points.
