Chairman of Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has said that roads in the industrial estates across the state will be improved using the white topping technology.

Reginaldo inaugurated the work of repairing roads in the Pilerne Industrial Estate under the white topping technology in the presence of GIDC managing director Pravimal Abhishek and officials of M/s KKB Engineering and Constructions Pvt Ltd.

Lourenco said, “We are doing up all the industrial roads using the white topping technology part-by-part so as not to affect the movement of industrial workers. The roads will be of good quality and will last for the next 25 years without any potholes. This initiative will enhance the durability and safety of our roads also improving ecosystem and connectivity for operational efficiency across industries in Goa.”

The upgradation project will cover the industrial estates of Pilerne, Honda, Verna, Margao, Bethoda, Canacona, Kakoda and Cuncolim in a phased manner as envisioned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (S&R Zone) under the leadership of Nitin Gadkari. The estimated cost of the project is
Rs 80-85 crore.
