Jhankar 2025, organised by DanceKatha, will be held on April 12, from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. with participation of students from Spain, London, Mumbai, Delhi and other Indian cities at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

DanceKatha is a virtual dance and music school teaching kathak, tabla, and vocals founded by dancer and fashion designer Riddhi Mapxencar.

Apart from student performances, the event will have guest performer Karan Pangali performing a specially curated duet kathak piece with Mapxencar.

A mentor and teacher to Mapxencar, Pangali is a choreographer and artistic director of KSPARK Entertainments in London. His dance repertoire boasts an exciting fusion of kathak, hip-hop, Bollywood, bhangra, salsa, and jazz. He has been awarded special
Kathak fellowships to learn and work alongside legendary Kathak gurus such as Kumudini Lakhia, Pratap Pawar, and Pundit Birju Maharaj. He has also performed dance and conducted workshops all over U.K., India, USA, Japan, Greece, Italy, Spain, Morocco, China, and France.

With a desire to pass on the art of dance to others, and a natural flair
for teaching, he established his own dance academy, Karan’s Bollywood Masterclass (KBM) in London in 2012. He has five centres across London and also teaches students virtually internationally.
