Panaji: Mohammad Sameer (29), arrested in connection with Goa’s biggest LSD liquid seizure, used to buy rolling papers via an online shopping site and convert them into blotting papers to distribute LSD, sources said.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) is currently investigating how long Sameer had been making such purchases and the total quantity ordered.
During a raid on Monday in Siolim, the ANC seized 110 grams of high-micron LSD liquid valued at approximately Rs 11.07 crore. According to ANC officials, the amount of LSD liquid recovered is sufficient to produce nearly 10-12 lakh LSD blots, each typically sold for Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.
Sameer, a native of Palakkad in Kerala, has been residing in Goa for the past five years and was operating a guest house in Baga. The ANC acted on a tip-off that a Kerala native was supplying high-micron LSD drops in the state.
He was first apprehended with 4.72 grams of LSD liquid outside his rented premises at Bamon Waddo, Siolim, while attempting to deliver the substance. A subsequent house search led to the recovery of an additional 106 grams of high-micron LSD liquid and 101 grams of ganja.
