Stating that the BJP leadership is “aware” of Calangute MLA Michael Lobo’s development works, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the party will decide and reward him in “due time”.
“I am wholly behind Michael Lobo and very much aware of the good works being undertaken by him. Even the party, not just in Goa but in Delhi as well, knows how Michael works. But ultimately, the party will decide and reward him in due time. I urge him to work for the party wholeheartedly as a 100 per cent future awaits him in BJP,” said Sawant.
The Chief Minister was addressing booth-level party workers at Calangute on Thursday in the presence of state party president Damu Naik, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, Calangute BJP Mandal President Sameer Chodankar, and other office bearers.
“We are witnessing the fastest development in Calangute constituency, the credit for which goes to Michael Lobo as he plans and executes the developmental works himself. Lobo also ensures that the issues of the people are resolved to their satisfaction. Lobo has achieved his goal on garbage management during the past 13 years and has a lot of projects pending like the new primary health centre project in Candolim among others, which I assure to complete within the next two
years.”
“For Michael to succeed and win in Calangute towards achieving the ‘27 seats in 2027’ target, the Calangute Block should back him to the hilt,” he added.
“BJP has been expanding its base throughout the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with infrastructure development being undertaken like airports and other institutions. The BJP government has given the country and Goans various schemes like financial aids to ladies, farmers, etc,” Sawant added.
