Chinchinim: United Club of Nerul pulled off a 2-1 comeback win over Navelim Villagers Union in the 26th Our Lady of Merces Football Tournament, at the Chinchinim Church ground on Thursday.
Navelim struck early through Vellon Rebello in the 7th minute. But Nerul kept their composure and equalised through Royce Gonsalves in the 25th minute. At halftime the score was 1-1.
After the restart, Nerul upped their tempo. In the 50th minute, Marcus Fernandes netted what turned out to be the winner, finishing off a quick counter attack.
