Jonas Pereira stars in their four-wicket win over Oxford Academy

Margao: My Cricket Academy lifted the 1st Under-14 All Goa Exposure Trophy with a four-wicket win over Oxford Academy in the final held at the Konkan Railway Ground, Margao, on Sunday.

Oxford, asked to bat first, posted 103/6 in their 20 overs. Rehan Hubali top-scored with 43 runs, showing good shot selection on a slow outfield affected by thick grass. For My Cricket, Sahil, Swanik, Vansh, and Sparsh each took one wicket as the bowlers kept things tight.

In reply, My Cricket Academy started well, reaching 78 for 1 with the openers in control. But as rain clouds loomed, the coach introduced pinch hitters to finish the game quickly.

The move backfired as they lost quick wickets, with Sahil, Shourya, Vansh, Arjun, and Om falling in quick succession. Mubarak Tadpatri bowled a crucial spell, taking 3 for 18 to put pressure on the batting side. At 99/5, the game was wide open, but Jonas Pereira held his nerve, scoring an unbeaten 33 and guiding his team home in 18.4 overs. His calm presence at the crease

proved decisive. The final was graced by the presence of Prabhav Naik, Bhai Naik and Hemant Angle.
