The Navelim gram sabha directed the panchayat to compile a comprehensive report on all assets within its jurisdiction and present it at the next gram sabha in April. The meeting also approved the budget for
2025-26.

The special gram sabha was convened after villagers sought additional time in February to discuss the budget and audit report.

During the session, residents also urged the panchayat to disclose revenue generated, and submit a detailed account at the next meeting.

The chairperson said that several projects within the jurisdiction of the Navelim panchayat have not yet been formally handed over, including a subway built decades ago under the MPLAD fund.

Villagers said that once the asset list is compiled, they can decide on the future course of action. Additionally, the gram sabha formed a committee under the COPTA
Act.
