Benaulim: Navelim Sports Club made a powerful start to the 24th Benaulim Villagers Cup, thrashing United Boys of Dando Colva 4-0 in the opening match held at the St John the Baptist ground.

Navelim seized control early, with midfielders Ronaldo and Joyson dictating play.

Venito Costa opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by Ronald doubling the lead in the 24th, giving Navelim a comfortable 2-0 cushion at half-time. The second half saw complete dominance from Navelim.  Ronaldo added a third with a superb glancing header, leaving Colva’s goalkeeper Mycio with no chance.

Meliston Dias sealed the victory in the 51st minute, slotting in the fourth and final goal.
