Cavelossim

Parish Youth Nuvem defeated Chandor Club 8-7 via tie-breaker in the Cavelossim Villagers UK Cup at Cavelossim.

The deadlock was broken in the 60th minute when Moses D’Sa took a quick free-kick from distance and found Alreach Peixote, who made no mistake with a close-range finish to put Chandor ahead. But the lead lasted barely a minute as Nuvem were awarded a penalty, coolly converted by Alvito Dias to restore parity.

At fulltime the score remained 1-1. In the tie-breaker, Nuvem proved to be better shooters from the spot with Leroy, Shenoy, Darwin, Francis, Frazer, Cedar, and Alvito all finding the net. Chandor Club kept pace through Brivon, Ashwell, Moises, Akram, Velroy, and Alreach, but Rivaldo effort was brilliantly saved by Nuvem goalkeeper Presley to seal the win.

Chandor’s Velroy Cardozo was named Man of the Match, presented by Hipolito Fernandes.
