The material recovery facility (MRF) shed of the Revora panchayat caught fire causing a loss of Rs 3 lakh.
The incident took place late Friday night. The shed was being used to segregate dry waste of
the panchayat.
The fire spread towards the library which is in the panchayat office building. The library room was gutted. The windows and walls were also damaged.
The Mapusa fire and emergency services personnel immediately reached the spot and doused the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is not known.
