Demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant for allegedly spreading false information about opposition leaders, media, and activists through criminals and influencers, the Goa Forward Party president and the Fatorda MLA, Vijai Sardesai on Thursday said that Sawant has no right to stay in the position of the Chief Minister.

“Today, he is targeting us, but tomorrow he will target his own ministers as well as MLA, if they refuse to listen to him, and be partner in such crimes,” he said, stating that his party would take the matter to the Governor and Director General of Police, and if need be escalate the same to the Union Home Ministry.

Sardesai was addressing a press conference in the city to counter the allegations made against him by Suleman Mohammed Khan, alias Siddique, an accused in a land grab case, who is presently in police custody.

“I have neither met this Siddique, nor had any communication with him, at any time,” the Fatorda MLA said.
