Sesa FA and Sporting Clube de Goa played out a goalless draw in the Goa Professional League at Sirsaim ground on Friday, after their previous encounter on October 31, 2024, had been abandoned due to severe weather conditions.

Sporting Clube remain at the top of the table with 22 points from eight matches, while Sesa FA moved to fifth place with 15 points.

The match resumed from the 25th minute with both sides eager to break the deadlock. Sporting Clube started strong, creating several chances within the first 20 minutes. However, the Sesa FA defense stood resolute, denying their opponents a breakthrough before halftime.

The second half saw Sesa’s coach Charles Dias make key substitutions, bringing on Clencio Pinto for Velito Rocha and Sachidanand Satelkar in place of Sankalp Kankonkar. The changes brought an added dimension to the attack, with Clencio proving a constant threat on the wings, while Sachidanand presence in the box added urgency to the home side’s offensive play. Despite their best efforts, Sesa could not find the elusive goal.

Sporting Clube, too, had their moments but failed to break down Sesa’s solid defense. Joel Colaco received a yellow card in the 67th minute, adding to the disciplinary woes for the visiting side.

Both teams pushed for the win, but the match ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
