Bicholim: Devotees across Goa celebrated Shri Ramnavami

with a great religious fervour and zeal.

In Bicholim, the festivities included various spiritual, cultural  and musical programmes which were organised at key locations including Shri Ramchandra Devasthan, Gimone-Piligaon, Siddheshwar Mandir at Sal, and Shri Ram Mandir, Kansarpal.

The highlight of the celebrations was Ram Janmotsav held at Shri Ramchandra temple, Gimone. A beautifully decorated cradle with the idol of Shri

Ram was gently swung by the devotees, with traditional cradle songs sung by womenfolk.

Kirtan performances on episodes from the life of Shri Ram were presented by Ramkrishnabuva Garde and Sayali Garde, adding a spiritual dimension to the celebration.

The festival also featured puja, aarti, bhajan, and prayers offered by devotees at the lotus feet of Shri Ram.

Mahaprasad, after being offered to the deity, was distributed to all those present.

In the evening, celebrations continued with puran recitation, palanquin processions of Lord Ram around the temple premises, followed by musical performances.

Drams were staged at Sal, Gimone, and Kansarpal.

Various religious rituals and events will also be held on Monday at these locations, thus marking the conclusion of the festivities.

At Shri Vathadev Mandir in Vathadev, devotees participated in Ramraksha Stotra recitation, and it was  followed by a soulful vocal music performance by a renowned singer Surendra Govekar, which added to the spiritual ambience on the occasion.

The celebrations reflected the deep-rooted devotion and cultural vibrancy of the people of Bicholim, as they came together to mark the birth of Lord Ram with reverence and joy.
