Siddhakala Dance institutions celebrate annual day

Siddhakala Dance institutions celebrated their annual day recently at Kala Academy, Panaji. The main attraction of this day was Nritya Brahmand program in which 250 girls from various centres of the Siddhakala presented Bhartnatyam and dances on festivals like Ganesh chaturthi, Navratri,Diwali in addition to fisher folk, Lavni and bollywood dances. Dances were choreographed by Siddhakala’s director and Bharatnatyam guru Janhavi Bondre. MLA Micheal Lobo was the chief guest for the occasion, who highlighted cultural programmes being a source of attraction in foreign countries for tourists and that it should be adopted in Goa as well. Actress Varsha Usgaokar also danced on her Marathi movie number.
