The Feast of St. John the Baptist or Sao Joao as it is popularly known as, was celebrated across the state on a grand scale. One of Goa’s beloved festivals, the biggest attraction is the Siolim celebration that happens close to the St Anthony’s Church and which includes a colourful boat parade, music, and a multitude of traditions
This is the 35th year that the Siolim São João Traditional Boat Festival and Cultural Organisation is organising this fest. This time around the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa also collaborated in the festivities and joined the parade with their own float and a monsoon-themed mascot.
