Sao Jose de Areal SC rode on a brace from Azilton Viegas to clinch a 2-0 win over Shiroda Youth Club in the Lourdes Soccer Cup at Ambelim ground on Friday.
Areal took control in the 25th minute when Azilton found the net to break the deadlock. Shiroda looked for a response, but the Areal backline stayed compact and kept them at bay going into the break.
The contest swung further in Areal’s favour in the second half as
Azilton struck again in the 47th minute to double the lead. Shiroda pushed forward in search of a way back, but the Areal
defense held firm tor seal the victory.
