Brahmaputra Bulls crush Mapusa’s dreams

Arlem: Brahmaputra Bulls defeated Mapusa Dream Crushers by five wickets, while S2 Strikers beat Govindraj Legends by nine wickets in the Sarsangan Commonwealth Developers +40 Men’s Cricket Series at the Arlem.

In the first macth, Mapusa posted 187 for 6, top-scored by Damodar (38) and Vibhav (36). For the Bulls, Siddhesh Alvenkar, Aditya Prabhugaonkar and Parai Dubhashi took a wicket each. Bulls responded with a steady chase, led by Aditya Prabhugaonkar (38) and skipper Siddhesh Prabhu Alvenkar (37). Laxmikant’s unbeaten 37 then saw the Bulls to 189 for 5. Mahesh, Viraj and Siddhesh claimed a wicket apiece for Mapusa.

In the second match, S2 Strikers took early control through Siddhesh Bodke, who reduced Govindraj Legends to 22 for 4. The Legends posted 165 for 7, led by Amith Kamat (40), Nikhil Virginkar (37) and Amogh Agshikar (28). Bodke finished with figures of 4 for 23, while Jaiprakash Kunde and Rasik Khot took one wicket each.

Chasing 166, the Strikers reached 168 for 1 in 19.1 overs, with Shiraj Khot (37), Sarvesh Kamat (35) and Sandeep Thali (35) guiding the side home. Amogh Agshikar was the lone wicket-taker.
