Canacona SCC booked a semifinal spot in the Vaidya Family Cup, defeating United Club Verna 3-1 at Cuncolim on Tuesday.
Ronaldo Olivera drew first blood in the 6th minute, followed by Chaitan Comarpant’s strike in the 11th minute giving Canacona a 2-0 lead at halftime. Olivera completed his brace in the second half with an assist from Cleston Fernandes.
Verna pulled one back from a 47th-minute penalty, converted by Milton Fernandes.
