CD Fountainheads chase 180 with ease against Ponda

CD Fountainheads outclassed debutants Progressive Ponda with a six-wicket win in the Sarsangan Priority Super Series 2026 at Arlem cricket ground.

Progressive Ponda, owned by Vishwanath Dalvi, posted a competitive 179 for 6 in 20 overs. Pratham Kossambe struck 37, while Venktesh Prabhu Verlekar added 36. Samruddh Hegde Desai and Vipul Deshprabhu chipped in with 18 each. Kaushik Pai Fondekar, Venkatesh Salelkar, Gaurav Borkar and Arsh Sardesai claimed a wicket each.

The response was swift. Openers Gaurish Shenvi Lotliker (29) and Gaurish Prabhudesai (33) raced to 59 in just 32 balls. Arsh Sardesai then turned the game decisively, hammering 40 off 14 deliveries (4×4, 3×6) as the Fountainheads surged to 183 for 4 in 15.3 overs. Kaushik Pai Fondekar remained unbeaten on 22. Atrinandan Kurade, Aaheesh Prabhugaonkar, Venktesh Prabhu Verlekar and Om Keny picked up a wicket each. Arsh Sardesai was adjudged the Man of the Match.
