Ashwel, Rohit won titles in their respective categories

Panaji: Fredsan Marshal and Angie Fernandes clinched the men’s and Women’s title respectively at the 52nd All Goa Cycle Race, organised by Guirdolim Club in association with Sudesh Bhise, at Guirdolim.

Marshal clocked 37:22:04 to edge past Derwyn Viegas of Chinchinim (37:22:06) and Mark Jose Fernandes of Loutolim (37:22:07), with less than a second separating the top three finishers.

In the women’s category, Angie Fernandes of Panaji regained the title, while Blanche Themudo finished second. Ashwel Fernandes of Fr Agnelo College, Pilar, topped the college category, followed by Abel Menezes. Rohit Chavan won the junior category, with Yash Bharat Patil finishing runner-up.

A total of 51 cyclists participated across categories. The race route covered Guirdolim–Macasana–Curtorim–Maina–Chowgule College before returning via Maina, Curtorim and Agxem, while juniors competed over a shorter route.

The prizes distribution ceremony was graced by Rajesh Naik, Sudesh Bhise, Panch Franky Rodriguez, Ballu Nistani and other guests.
