Pope John XXIII HS, Quepem triumphed in the Quepem Taluka U-17 Boy’s handball tournament organised by DSYA at Navelim recently.
In the final, they defeated GHS Ambaulim 4-1, who claimed second place after a valiant struggle.
The champions squad includes Ashwin Fernandes, Flexon Gomes, Reloy Fernandes, Alan Fernandes, Kapoor Ashu, Slidon Fernandes, Ashlon Fernandes, Lesiyon Rebello, Clyson Dias, Deran Gomes, Samuel Vaz, Syron Fernandes, Franoy Dias, Vancio Gomes, Joshwon Oliveira and Alarick Barretto, led by physical education teacher Aldrin Mascarenhas.
